EPB Course – Handicraft Export Sector of Bangladesh: Prospects and Challenges
The world market of handicrafts sector is about 7 billion US dollars but Bangladesh has not progressed much to maintain its position in the export of handicraft products in the world market. Handicrafts carry the history of our heritage and the government’s support has always been and continues to advance this industry, but to keep pace with the global market, our handicrafts need to keep pace with the current demands. It is necessary to focus on the production of recycled products, environment friendly products. This sector follows prevailing methods of production which is the main characteristic of handicrafts. The participants of this seminar will be able to know about the preparation of exporters/entrepreneurs in producing handicrafts products, Govt. policy support, penetration of export market, position of competition countries, etc.
